Room On The Broom

There’s a witch, a cat, and a broom. Then things start to get complicated as a friendly dog, a beautiful green bird, a frog and an actual dragon turn up. Will they all be able to fit on the witch’s broom? Bring your little ones along to find out. This hugely popular Olivier Award-nominated children’s theatre show delights everyone aged 3 and upwards with its colourful costumes, fun characters, fabulous music and brilliant puppetry. Having become a classic children’s theatre favourite, this time around the action is directed by Olivia Jacobs and designed by Morgan Large, with puppet design by Yvonne Stone, lighting design by James Whiteside, choreography by Morag Cross, and music by Jon Fiber and Andy Shaw.

Author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler, the dream team behind smash hits The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child, are delighted to present their Room On The Broom. Donaldson also created A Squash and a Squeeze, Monkey Puzzle and Taby McTat. Axel Scheffler has brought several of Donaldson’s books to vibrant life with his fabulous pictures and illustrated many more books by other authors. Together they create the kind of magic children adore. Make your way to London for a festive treat your little ones will remember for years.

Fun
I took my three-year-old grandson and he sat there mesmerised. He lost interest when the bird and the frog came out but when the dragon appeared, he literally jumped out of his skin and hit under the chair. All in all a wonderful play and I would definitely recommend it. Incidentally, I thought that maybe a couple more interactive well thought songs with the little ones would’ve been nice.
